Overview
The fetch@v2 action lets you make HTTP requests to external services during an active call. This enables real-time data integration: look up the caller in your CRM, check their order status, verify their account, or retrieve any data that should influence how the call is handled.
How It Works
Place a fetch@v2 action in your call flow. Specify the URL, method (GET/POST), headers, and body. The response is stored in a variable that you can use in subsequent actions and conditions. Supports JSON and plain text responses.
Use Cases
Look up caller info in your CRM to personalize the greeting. Check appointment schedules to confirm or reschedule. Verify account status before routing to billing. Retrieve product availability or pricing from your backend. Authenticate callers against your user database.
Performance
Configurable timeout (up to 60 seconds). Asynchronous mode available for non-blocking requests. The caller hears hold music or a TTS message while the fetch completes.
